The nearby university has a good library, many attractions…e.g. the Museum of Anthropology designed by Arthur Erickson – extraordinary collection of monumental carvings, huge dramatic masks and gold jewellry by native artists of the Northwest Coast; theatres, concert halls, art gallery, excellent Botanical Garden and very fine Japanese garden. All 5 mins by car.
A fine farmer’s market, French & Italian bakeries, first rate cheese shop less than 20 minutes by car. Tree-lined streets, pleasant homes with gardens, good shops cafes, cinema, restaurants are nearby neighbors.
